UPDATE: 8-May-2014 4:25pm. Just heard from the shelter that both pei have been adopted out...TOGETHER!!! :-)

The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare shelter has two Shar Pei that were picked up as strays and will be available for adoption starting on Thursday, May 8th 2014. The shelter estimates both peibies to be about 10 months old. Given their similar size, configuration and the lovely self-colored noses, the shelter believes these two might be litter mates.

The cream colored pei is the girl, the boy is the fawn colored one. Both seem to be friendly, although the boy was initially very growly and scared when I approached his kennel. But when we got the boy outside, he really loosened up and became quite friendly. He loves his belly rubs!

Since the pair are strays, there's not much known about the kids. The age is just a guess and I don't have any idea what their real temperament is like, although my first impressions were quite positive.
