This gallery gives a good idea of the sort of results typical from the D70s/AF-S 18-70mm f3.5-4.5 ED DX combination. A variety of focal length, aperture, and lighting condition results are shown. A 67mm Nikon NC filter is fitted to the lens.

Apart from resizing and saving to .jpg (via. Nikon View 6.2.7), no additional post processing has been carried out, these images are straight off the camera.

Based on my sample I have no hesitation in recommending this lens.
