Yankee Boy Basin near Ouray, Colorado, is famous for its summer wildflowers. I was fortunate enough to spend some time there in July with a good friend. We trekked up the 4WD road and enjoyed an evening just above tree line, soaking up the fresh mountain air and smelling the abundant wildflowers. This Colorado Wildflower image was captured near the end of the 4WD road and looks back at the basin we navigated on the way up.
