Hi Andrew - Thanks for your very kind words. Gallery title is changed. No intention to diss the Scots. One of our future trips will include Scotland almost exclusively.

very nice pictures of some special places.

Uhm a lot of those pictures are actually of Scottish places, why do you have them in a gallery called 'england 2005' ? Scots resent being called english the same way canadians resent being called americans.

Hi Fred! Thanks for taking a look at my photos. My hubby and I drove around England and Scotland for 3 weeks in May 2005. Magnificent trip! Beautiful and fascinating country! I realize the Sunderland area might not be a top tourist destination. One of my sons-in-law is a Hylton and is interested in the castle. We took lots of pics of the castle, the shields, etc. and the chapel and, for Christmas, did a book on the history of the castle and included our pics.

Hi Julie - I came across your galleries by accident, and found that you have a photo of Hylton Castle Sunderland in your gallery of the UK. I, live about 4 miles from the castle and wonder what made you visit it?
