Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is located due east of Titusville, Florida, on Merritt Island and occupies 140,000 acres overlaid with the Kennedy Space Center. Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River run through the refuge.substantial area of relatively undisturbed wildlife habitat. The day I visited was a very windy and not a good day for spotting and photography.
