Really great photos! I know how difficult it is to photograph birds - I've tried. Got pretty good shots of a CA Towhee dancing along a rock outcrop, but he looked so distant in my camera. What kind of camera & lens do you use?
509-acre Barham Ranch connects Irvine Regional Park, Santiago Oaks, and Weir Canyon in Orange County, CA. It contains Coastal Sage Scrub, Chaparral, Oak Woodlands, and magnificent Willow Woodlands behind Villa Park Dam. It is one of four sites that we (Sea and Sage Audubon, The Nature Conservancy, and NROC) will be monitoring for declining populations of Cactus Wren. This gallery shows what I found on one of my pre-site visits.
