Maple Springs is at the end of Silverado Canyon and the start of the Cleveland National Forest which leads to the top of the Santa Ana Mountains. I was there on January first for a US Forest Service work party (see my photo gallery under "seasons of nature-winter") and wanted to return to see what the forest was like in summer. Okay, it was HOT! But you can see there was plenty to observe. Enjoy.
