Heat brings out butterflies. I was so busy photographing as they came to the Deerweed flowers that I "almost" forgot how hot it was (upper 80 degrees.) Last time I was here was while doing bat research in the middle of the night. Off-trail in thousands of acres of wilderness with just a few researchers and the sights and smells of native plants, bats, birds, bugs, coyotes and mountain lions. Those were the days! :-)
