I went to Tree of Life Nursery to hear Bob Allen talk about native bees. Did you know 40% of all North American bees are found in California (1,500 species)? They are great plant pollinators and part of the food web. Afterwards, I strolled the grounds and practiced with my fisheye lens and regular short lens. I usually shoot on automatic focus, and discovered that without my Customer Support Man (not manual, but MAN) along with me, I forgot this and shot everything at 1 meter focus. While this was fine while shooting wildflowers upclose, almost all of the scenery and tree photos were blurry. That's called The Learning Process. Ugh!
