I decide to replace a portion of our back lawn with California yarrow
Start to dig out existing lawn
Remove by shovel the grass, roots, and plastic mesh
Dig down 1 foot and sift out all remaining roots
Dig holes twice as deep as 1 gallon container
Fill with water and let drain
Add 8 plants with space to grow (2 ft wide)
How yarrow looks in front curb with sundrops and desert penstemon (watered once a month)
