We were evacuated last Wednesday from the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary due to potential flooding from the adjacent creek and were allowed to return on Monday. I was eager to take a walk and see what was happening in the marsh. The bobcat disappeared into the sagebrush so I watched the heron fishing and the ibis reflecting the setting sun. What a refreshing walk!
