The teenage Junior Naturalists of Sea & Sage Audubon Society went to Bolsa Chica mesa to see a "dilemma'
It looks like you could fly through this glass wall between the development site and Bolsa Chica State Ecological Reserve.
As a result, numerous songbirds and hawks have died after colliding with the glass wall.
As we walked next to the glass wall on the mesa, we watched this white-tailed kite hovering ("kiting") in place
Other raptors included this adult red-tailed hawk
