These photos were taken with a terrific combination. The Nikon N90s camera with the brand new AF-S 24-85 f:3.5-4.5G IF-ED Lens and the SB80DX flash. All are hand held and the flash was on its own at all times to activate whenever it thought it should. Actually the flash activated on most of these to some extent. The camera body is super as you all know. The SB80DX is unreal with this G lens. Nevertheless, the lens lacks sharpness but nothing else. The lens is extremely quiet in focusing and extremely fast. In all shots, the flash was on the camera and aimed directly at the subject except for the total bounce flashed used on the photo titled "reef". This bounce was 90 degrees off the subjects and approximately six and half feet from the white ceiling off which the flash bounced. The flash is unreal! I am waiting to try this combination on the D100 when I get it.
