This area sits at 5,000 feet above Port Angeles. The view is of many peaks of the Olympics range, including Mt Olympus which has a lot of glaciers. The Olympic National park encompasses several rainforests which can get up to 300 inches of rain a year! So glaciers keep going here. Mt Olympus is about 11,000 feet, I think.
Deer love this meadow. There were several around the day I was there. I have even been licked by them! (looking for salt). Too late in the year for much snow to be around and the meadow is done by July, though there were still some flowers left.
