10-JUN-2005

- 10th June 2005 - Bridgewater birds

These paper birds hang above the entrance to the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester.
We went tonight to the 150th anniversary concert of Black Dyke - the best of the best!
Of course Chester was 150 some years ago... but that's another story.

We were entertained to a very non-trad programme, including Jazz trumpet, trombone and Euph
from Australian virtuoso Jim Morrison.... the comment was 'I hope he doesn't play cricket
as well as he plays'.

More pictures to post tomorrow but now to bed. Conducting TB tomorrow. First outing
for 'Amarillo' and the Blues Brothers 'Everybody..'

Fingers crossed it doesn't rain.

Anyone passing Mickle Trafford, nr Chester 12 - 3pm romorrow, great photo opp :)

Pretty fantastic, almost abstract. Love the depth the people in the blur add

I'm thinking a strong breeze would make for an interesting image ... ;)

Someone spent a lot of time on that display. And it is beautiful. I also like the man in the background.

That guy is probably thinking the same thing as I am
that someone MADE all of those birds! What a lot of work. They
make a fascinating picture - you captured them at a superb angle!
...AND you've been entertaining Australian virtuoso Jim Morrison!

A very intriguing thumbnail. Unusual shot and so colourful. Mmm Amarillo by brass, I'd like to hear that!

Love the birds, but I especially like the man below, framed by them.

This is fascinating. I turned myself upside-down to look at all of it. The colors and hues are beautiful.
