- 11th March 2005 - New Brighton

Sorry just realised I uploaded the original size file!! I've now recompressed - anyone wanted the oiginal file please email :)

Difficult choice today, as I got some nice wave action I've PaDded it (see image at bottom or in gallery River Mersey) at New Bighton on the way home, but really wanted to go with this shot...

I've seen it a couple of times now as I've driven past. It's a huge glass windowed frontage as you can see below in the unzoomed shot - so I snapped it for today's PaD.

and the reflection is of a derelict pub, The King Edward, across the road.

Decided to go with slight crop - uncut version below with yellow box of crossing on it.

I took few more snaps around the old tobacco warehouse, and then got the PaD image on the way home!
Something for everyone. Car got thoroughly dosed in salt with the waves though!!

Off for a swim with Helen and Philip once they're home. See you around the PaDs after band.

Awesome power. What would be fun is if you can clone in a small photog with a camera on a tripod, right in front of that wave. :)

Great shot, but the one with the bus really sets the scale! Was it windy, or does this happen a lot there?
Laryl13-Mar-2005 02:33
my thoughts exactly.... wow what a wave! that's some major spashing going on, glad I'm not on the inside of that flow!

I love this. Reminds you of the power of the sea (not that we need too much reminding at the moment).

This is such an awesome capture, not something that you get to snap on every day. I vote for this one, so far the best Pad for the day.
