Six Flags Great Adventure 2006

I visited Great Adventure again for ONE reason only........EL TORO! Holy crap what a ride! It's a woody but it sure doesn't FEEL like one! It's ultra-smooth, VERY fast, and the airtime is a gasm all in itself! I got to a VERY packed park about a half hour after opening. I met up with Bill (after he got his Ka credit) at the Toro entrance and waited in line for about 2 hours. We managed to get our first ride in the front! FUCKING AWESOME!

People keep asking me if I like it better than Voyage at Holiday World. I don't think that is fair to be honest. The two coasters are VERY different with very different elements.

After my one El Toro ride Bill and I went back to another one of my favorites.....NITRO! After that we both split. He had to drive to Southern Maryland for some family stuff and I wanted to spend the evening and night in one of my old stomping grounds....Philadelphia! The park was getting WAY too crowded WAY too fast.

I got my El Toro ride and a spin on Nitro. I really didn't care about the other coasters since the lines were too long to make it worth it. Hell, even the Q-Bot line was a one-hour wait. Kind of ironic, don't ya think? ;-) I got what I wanted and was happy. It was worth the steep $15 parking fee. :-)
