On the way back home from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg I took an alternate route through Kentucky and stopped by the KFC museum/Colonel Saunders birthplace in Corbin. There was a small museum located beside the restaurant. I love history, especially stuff like this. I found it totally fascinating. I don't eat their fried chicken anymore (too greasy) but I do love their wraps, potato wedges, and ESPECIALLY the mashed potatos and gravy! This time I just got an order of potato wedges before I hit the road. The locals were giving me strange looks as I was snapping away, but I am sure they are used to dorks like me coming in just to look around. It was a nice little museum! It's conveniently located right off of I-75. It's interesting if you are into this type of history. :-)It was almost as fun as the World Of Coke in Atlanta and the Yuengling, Martin Guitar, and Crayola tours in PA. Does anyone watch the Travel Channel's "Made In America" besides me? :-)
