As I mentioned the weather was cold, and this was true in Williamsburg, also. I just couldn't resist stopping to take a photo of this bare tree with a bird's nest, though. It turned out to be one of my favorite photos.

A step back in time...not a car to be seen!

This seemed to be a popular mode of transportation. Carriage rides were sold out both days!

Well, time to visit the Governor's Palace!

Notice the holiday decorations, and the British symbols - lion and unicorn.

This guy was great, as he told us the rules of behavior, whilst visiting the governor.

The village green is much larger than the average town. Re-enactments are held here, but not today.

The weaponry was meant to impress, and is in the entry hall.

These weapons were taken by the patriots during the American Revolution.

A fine dinner appears to be on this table, but, "no" it is not real!

This traditional maze is fun for all. It is more difficult to complete in the summer, when the hedges are more lush.
