Bukowsko Jewish Cemetery - 2002

Accompany the Greenlee family, as they locate the Bukowsko Jewish Cemetery in June of 2002. Through their photographs, we can see both the physical beauty of the area and the tragedy of the remnants of what was once a well-kempt cemetery. Unfortunately, the few remaining gravestones are moss-covered, and inscriptions are no longer visible in the photos. Someone with the knowledge of Hebrew, and who brings a brush to scrape away the moss, may have better luck in deciphering what may still be located on the stones.

Debbie G. returned to photograph the cemetery in 2008 and those photos can now be seen at: https://pbase.com/trip/bukowsko_cemetery
