August 13th is a very spcial day in my family, my daughter Julia was born 21 years ago today, on my mother's birthday. I knew that I would not be able to celebrate in person with either of them, as Julia is in Germany and my mother in England, so as the day fell on a Sunday, bought flowers I knew that they are particularly fond of, Stargazer lilies, agapanthus and delphiniums, to decorate my church. You can see the dedication listed in the church bulletin. I spoke by phone to each of them this morning before I went to church, to wish them both a happy birthday, and now if they look on my web site they can see their flowers! I was very happy and proud that Harry came to church with me today, and his girlfriend Kristie too, who kindly took this photo of us.
