As the raspberries from my local farm shop when I lived in England were always
so delicious at this time of the year, I always used to make raspberry ice cream
for Derrick for his birthday and he loved it.
I could not think what to give him for his special birthday, 75 today and looking good!
– so asked my good friend and former neighbor Ruth if she knew of anyone who could make
some raspberry ice cream and she very kindly volunteered and took it over to Derrick as a lovely surprise!
My mouth was watering at the thought of this delicious and special ice cream, so I made
some here in Michigan yesterday, Sayer, Harry, Kristie and I all enjoyed a cone last night,
there is still some left ;) so I had to have it as my photo of the day, and wish Derrick a very Happy 75th Birthday!!
He emailed me this photo of himself this morning after Ruth had surprised him with his gift.
