One of the vagaries of the weather in Michigan is that we experience an ice storm every couple of years. January 2007 was a very dramatic one, with many trees tumbling from the sheer weight of ice covering their branches, many people lost power for days which was dreadful in such cold temperatures.
The first day, 15th was dreary, but on the morning of 16th, the sun came through and made the ice sparkle beautifully which provided some lovely photos opportunities.
