The colors are vivid, but they were even more vivid when used in contrast to the dark horses and faces of the people in the first shot. Remember that when we shoot color itself, so much of its impact depends on what we compare it to. I think you made this shot primarily to test your new camera's ability to render primary colors. It does it very well.
