I wouldn’t call the huge name plate stamped on the field as gaudy but it is a bit overbearing. The good news is that you cannot see it at ground level.
A friend and I walked down here via the i490 foot bridge last week and I noticed the field from a slight elevation while descending the hill, I pointed out the bright red that was painted on the center of the field (that was only partially visible at the slight elevation) that I assumed was the Guardian script. Everything else looks great, I hope the turf suits the kids and doesn’t cause injury.
Can’t wait for Jose to throw out the first pitch!
