The Rock Castle, Indian Springs, Georgia.

The house was built in 1870. It was abandoned in the late 1950's or by the mid-1960's.
The last owner, a widow, died in the house. She loved The Rock Castle and, it is said, her spirit remained in the house after her death. Perhaps so. The Rock Castle was always a friendly house when I went into it to photograph it.
The house is gone now, but the ground remembers; the woods covering the remains of the house still sing with a warm spirit.
