San Antonio, Texas: December 18, 2011

My first real outing with my new Canon SX230 HS. I went with Mom and her senior group on a trip to San Antonio to see San Antonio Rose Live's Christmas show at the Aztec Theater and take a boat ride on the San Antonio River to see the Christmas lights on the River Walk.

I didn't have much chance to practice with the camera and get familiar with the various settings before the trip, so I had to retouch all but three of these on my computer. I'm still very impressed with the camera, especially the Image Stabilizer's ability to allow me to make a sharp photo with a hand-held camera from a moving barge.
