This spring I found lots of ladybug larvae running around on my honeysuckle (wish some eggs had been laid on my rose bushes). I was lucky enough to spot this one apparently just after it emerged from its pupa case. Unfortunately, the light was bad and even the flash wasn't able to help much. I would have waited for better light, but I wasn't sure the beetle was going to hang around and wait with me.
