Winterthur

Founded by Henry Francis du Pont, Winterthur (pronounced “winter-tour”) is the premier museum of American decorative arts, reflecting both early America and the du Pont family’s life here.
Its 60-acre naturalistic garden is among the country’s best, and its research library serves scholars from around the world.

Your old trees are quite wonderful, and look so good when the leaves appear again

A lovely approach to the building. A beautiful building should be revealed piece by piece as the view point changes.

on the other hand, the building lends a solid backdrop to the charming tree-scape.. subtle light does just enough to ramp up the buzz of immediacy here..
