Hunting dog

The animals at Cheverny are a cross between fox-hounds and French Poitou.
A pack of some 70-100 dogs are kept on the grounds and are taken out for hunts twice week.
There is a "V" shaved into the fur to indicate what estate they belong to.

Sort of a long legged beagle hound. I'd never seen one before. Looks pretty fast. Nice shot.
