Images from Mktskheta, the spiritual capital of the Georgian Orthodox faith, outside Tbilisi, the including glimpses of a traditional wedding ceremony. The Jvari Church (completed 604 AD) stands on a hilltop overlooking Mtskheta, on the site where a 4th-century king erected a wooden cross, and is often regarded by Georgian Christians as the holiest of holies.
