Many visitors track down the graves of their forebears

Discovering the grave of my great-uncle Sidney James Game, a 19-year-old Tasmanian, near Messines on the Franco-Belgian border.

In May 2020 (just a week past Anzac Day) I discovered these words written in 1972 to my grandfather by the former Adjutant of the 40th Battalion: "I will always remember Sergeant Syd., killed as we went into battle of Messines, 7 June, 1917. After the battle when we were coming out I saw his body lying on the ground. He had been there for two days but looked as if he was asleep."
