Seyit Çabuk (1889-1939), Corporal Seyit was a gunner in the Ottoman Army during the Allied assault on the Dardanelles. On 18 March 1915 the gun, manned by Seyid, suffered damage to its shell crane but remained operational. Seyit famously lugged three 275 kg artillery shells up to the gun enabling it to continue firing on the attacking fleet.
