Just trying out a low budget mod on this little performer. Relevant caps had been replaced with Low Impedance Rubycon YXF, Output caps using Nichicon Fine Gold and Op-amps using Burr Brown OPA2134.

Originally when the tone control set to neutral center, the bass will sound muffled and highs/details are missing. Need to +10 towards treble then able to balance things out. But now, with the tone at neutral position, the bass is tight with control and details/highs are flowing fluidly. The final sound is much more luxury which can cost 4x more.
