I found this shack along the road in Southwestern Wisconsin, and had to wonder if it started life as a railroad car. What do you think? please leave comments...
It's been over a decade since this was posted, but this is the former carbody depot from Strawbridge, slightly southwest of the current location. There was a branch of the main Galena and Southern Wisconsin railway that went towards New Diggings via the tunnel you have a photo of elsewhere on here, and this station served the wye connecting them. It appears the depot was moved from its original location to here between 1934 and 1937.
This car was photographed in Lafayette County Wisconsin north of New Diggings and south of Lead Mine. On (Ollie) Bell Road. It sits just east of the bridge crossing the Shullsburg Branch of the Galena (Fever) River. This is maybe 20-30 miles from Fennimore.
If this link works it will pin point the exact spot.
