Fenelon Place Elevator at Dubuque, Iowa

You might be saying "THAT’S NOT A TRAIN DEPOT!!” But I disagree. The purpose of the Fenelon Place Elevator is to transport passengers, even if the journey is only 296 feet. Also it’s cars ride on Rails and it was originally powered by a steam engine. Additionally the building kinda looks like a Depot and it even holds a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. It has been in almost continuos operation since July of 1882, so you might say it has done better that all the other Passenger railroads.
Do you think Amtrak will last 124 years?
For all these reasons the Fenelon Place Elevator has earned its place with the other Surviving Depots.
