The Edmonton Reads program is a city-wide book club that seeks to unite as many Edmontonians as possible in dialogue around a great piece of literature. The book that has been chosen for this year is local Edmonton author Ted Bishop’s Riding With Rilke: Reflections on Books and Motorbikes - a terrific story/travelogue about how one man combines his twin passions for literature and motorbikes in an amazing journey from Edmonton to Austin, Texas. It is an ode to books, places, people, music, and of course, motorbikes, in particular a Ducati "Monster" named Il Mostro. The book will be featured at the Edmonton Public Library through readings and discussion groups until the end of November.
