We pull back up to the siding at Hooper Junction and contact the UP dispatcher to get our track warrant. While doing so a nearby track inspector informs us that he is behind our train and will gladly set the de-rail, and switch after we leave which saves us a reverse movement.
Here we are pulling back onto the main at milepost 285. The clouds have broken up, and there’s a nice breeze making it a beautiful day!
