944 Supercharger & engine rebuild project

My 944 Lux is to get a 944 S2 3 litre engine & to add a bit of spice it will be supercharged using a Vortech V5 looking at 310BHP (up from 211)

There is another 944 supercharged car here in Western Australia. Started the build in 2007 ans spent a few years sorting out the associated problems. I am running a Rotex supercharger and EMS Stinger ECU front mounted intercooler, PWR radiator, ported polished 8 valve head, balanced engine with Findanza alloy flywheel, Sachi clutch, S2 gearbox now (one of many that it destroyed), 951 oil cooler set up, fully adjustable front suspension and adjustable Koni on the rear, half cage, 2.5" stainless exhaust, 951 injectors, 400HP fuel pump, 951 inlet manifold and BMW idle motor, modified timing set up taken from the cam shaft, 4 coil pack and a few other little mods. At the present time at 13PSI boost I am getting roughly 260HP at the wheels and the car weighs in at about 1000 kilograms wet. More work is being done on the car and it will probably be ongoing forever well until I run out of money or run out of puff. Cheers Cliff

Heya Jim,
awesome stuff yes keep posting the updates. i'm very interested too in doing the same! i have a tired S2 (get blown away bt the late Mimi's!) i'm from Australia there's almost next to nothing in regards to modified 944's just the usual better brakes, aircleaner etc. type things!
I look forward to the finished project
