I would say...we have people eating cats, but not the major diet. The people in mainland China concern about the animal right much than 10 years. u can see cats in cage in the market for eating, but now is not as common as 10 year did. One of the reason is SARS. Cats is a suspected vector for the virus. Thus Chinese Government pay effort to reduce cat meat trading. However you still can see trapped cat selling in some places.
Basically 99.9% Hong Kong citzen do not eat cat...At least u can see many feral cats in my gallary, right?
