Much like last year the Weather Gods tried to rain on our Thursday night parade but we had no intention of allowing it to dampen our enthusiasm. I have 2 large groups of friends who I hook up with at Glastonbury. One lot decided to have a safari theme to their fancy dress while the others plumped for Mexican Day of the Dead. By way of compromise I naturally attired myself as a mariachi tortoise.
On the previous evening my friends Steve and Debs celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary by reaffirming their marriage vows with a large group of friends in attendance in front of the Cider Bus. A very moving affair complete with cake! My alter-ego, Cardinal Sin, was in attendance in case the booked celebrant failed to appear but thankfully my services weren’t required.
Otherwise I’m afraid the number of people who dress up for Glastonbury continues to decline so there are very few pictures in here of random individuals. But as always there are still plenty of the walkabout performers and other “artistes” who contribute to making Glastonbury such an amazing visual feast.
