San Ferrnando, Ca. November 2, 2003: Its our 10th year celebración of el dia de los muertos (the day of the dead). In Mexico and Central America, el dia de los muertos is a special day where families remember loved ones who have passed on by building altars for them. They decorate the altar with items and icons the deceased loved like food, drinks, hobbies, pictures of friends, family, and pets. It is a day of celebration and laughter, not sadness. Death is not mourned on this day, it is laughed at. It is believed that the spirits of the deceased help you out through the year, if you remember and celebrate them on this special day.
