Newbridge is a small tourist village in the Central West of NSW that welcomes visitors and campers. It is a great tourist spot to visit with good food offered at the Gladstone Hotel, look at the Art Gallery (Olde Bridge Gallery) , see the Craft Shop, or camp at the Showground. Take a ramble through the village with its interesting history and great scenery to understand more about. Newbridge is found about 32 km from Bathurst and about 29 km from Trunkey Creek The locality was initially known as Back Creek or Reedy Creek, but renamed Newbridge on April 15 1878 when an overhead road traffic bridge was built over the railway line.

Newbridge was founded as being a gold mining town, the Post Office opening on 1 February 1856. Newbridge village developed around the railway line and station that was internal 1876. Newbridge is a popular camping and fishing location with campsites available over the river. A point of pride to the town, town have kept the building beautifully maintained, and Newbridge has won many awards for starters of the best presented stations within the state.

One of Australia's oldest and largest regional galleries presenting innovative exhibitions alongside a lively and varied suite of public programs and events. If you would like to see a few of the displays from the Camera Group then visit Ye Olde Gallery at the corner of Trunkey and Caloola Street in Newbridge.

The Newbridge Winter Solstice is a day of medieval magic and music. It takes place in the pub (closed for the occasion) and so on the Gladstone Green. Things to do in Newbridge has contains magic shows, Viking fighting displays inside the afternoon (from Iron Fest participants), food stalls, Morris Dancers, many market stalls, two bands (one within the afternoon and another for the night), horse display, street entertainment as well as other activities for your younger people. There will likely be drink available from the Gladstone Hotel (Strong Ale, Draft Guinness along with other merry-making fortifications at the same time!). There is going to be ample food to fit everyone (vegetarians included) from food stalls at the same time as the Pub. Most people will be put on Medieval Costume to increase the merriment.

The highlight of manufactured festivities will be the lighting and burning with the Wickerman about the large bonfire at 5pm. People are asked to buy small Wickermen earlier, write their problems about the tag and then throw them for the fire to have them burnt away!
