Content by-Kock Rees When making permalinks, make sure you are using ones that are search engine friendly. Try not to use any unusual characters like "&', "?', or '!'. Use less complicated characters that are more easily recognizable to search engines. This will make sure that you show up just a little earlier in the search engine's results. Using plenty of keywords in your articles is important for your search engine ranking. By including the keywords that are relevant to the topic of your articles, the search engines will able to find them easier. It will also make it easier for your readers to locate your articles through the search engines. Try to use keywords in the title, the article summary, and a few times within the body of the text. Whatever you do, avoid using images for your links both within your site and to outside pages. The engines love text and they love sites that have a lot of links. If you are placing your links in images then you are basically hiding them from the crawlers. Avoid it or your ranking will suffer. Stay as far away from frames and AJAX as possible. Using scheduling can mean that you have a topic that might otherwise be swamped by interest in other sites, so you wait a week to published it and get more interest. If you plan ahead, you can pre-write holiday themed content so it's always ready to go, as another example. How SEO Works 2020The W3C says, "Cool URLs don't change." Avoid like the plague, changing the page names on your site or you'll lose their page rank along with it. If you do have to change the page name, set up a 301 redirect to point to the new location. But really, just don't do it! One tip to help with search engine optimization is to promote any blog post you write all over social media. Make sure it posts to Facebook, Twitter and StumbleUpon. You can even use special apps to have it post automatically. That way if you are short on time it will post anyways. How To Use Search Engine OptimizationThough it might seem arcane at first glance, search engine optimization is really not complicated. Tactics like the ones you have just read about can make a big improvement in your web site's search engine rankings.
