One most commonly used format among the available formats is the Chicago style or format by essay writer. This format includes a title page containing basic information like the name of the writer or author of the document, the title of the document, and the date when it was submitted or published. Adding footnotes in Chicago style document

Citing sources in documents has great importance when you are writing essays that are research-based or academic-related for buy dissertation. Because you have to cite the sources you have used to support your argument or stance. If you use someone’s work and do not cite it in your work then it will be counted as plagiarized work. Therefore citing sources is very important when taking someone’s work or even a single statement to support or give strength to your words. If the document is formatted in Chicago format then the citation will also be in Chicago. To cite sources in Chicago format or style using Microsoft Word follow the following steps:

At first place the cursor at the point where you aim to add the footnote. After that go to the ribbon toolbar and click ‘references’. After clicking references click on ‘insert footnote’ to add a footnote at that place. A number such as ‘1’ will automatically appear at that place.

The same number will also appear at the bottom of that specific page in ‘write my paper’ tasks. The number in the paragraph and at the bottom of the page will appear in subscript. Paste the reference you want to cite after the subscript at the bottom of the page. Format the reference according to Chicago format for referencing i.e. first write the last name of the author, then his/her first name, then the date of the source, and then the title of that source with the page number of that source from where the material is taken and the link if available.

The text of the footnote should be of size 12 and in Times new roman style. However, the Arial style can also be used by essay writing service.

Keep adding footnotes following the same procedure as mentioned in steps 1 to 3. The number of each footnote will automatically be added.

These were the basic steps that will help students and writers in adding footnotes to a Chicago formatted document. However, if students feel difficulty in adding citations using Microsoft Word then they can also use citation software like Zotero. This software automatically adds citations and references just by selecting the type of style.
