INTRODUCTION OF THE GAME
The Game is an award winning card game for 1 – 5 players most recently published by Pandasaurus Games in 2015. In this game, players are trying to cooperatively win by playing as many cards as possible to the discard piles. Communication is kept to a minimum, and cards must be played in ascending or descending order based on the pile. This versatile game can be played just as well with one player as it can with the full five.

MATERIALS

The game includes four foundation cards. There are two 1 cards, and two 100 cards. These cards are placed on the table at the beginning of the game and begin the foundations.

Ninety eight number cards which are numbered 2 – 99 are also included in the game. These cards are added to the discard piles by each player in ascending or descending order depending on the pile.

SETUP

Set up the game by forming a foundation column with the 1’s and 100’s. The 1’s should be the top two cards, and the 100’s should be the bottom two cards. During play, a discard pile will be formed beside each of these foundation cards. The discard piles beside the 1’s will be built up in ascending order, and the discard piles next to the 100’s will be built down.

Shuffle the numbered cards and deal the correct amount to each player based on the number of players in the game.

1 player = 8 cards

2 players = 7 cards

3,4, or 5 players = 6 cards

Place the rest of the cards face down as a draw pile on the left side of the foundation column.

THE PLAY
TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK

During the game, players are allowed to communicate in order to maximize their winning potential. However, players are not allowed to talk about the exact numbers they are holding. Examples of legal communication include, “Don’t place any cards on the first pile,” or, “I have some great cards for the second pile.” Legal communication is encouraged to better the team’s chance of winning.

DETERMINE THE FIRST PLAYER

After all of the players look at their hand, they may decide who goes first. Again, communication is key but do not talk about exact numbers. After the first player takes their turn, play continues left until the end of the game.

TAKING A TURN

During the game, players will be building one discard pile beside each foundation card. The two piles beside the 1 cards are built up in ascending order. The two piles beside the 100 cards are built in descending order. When a card is played to an ascending pile, the card must be bigger than the previous card played to the pile. When a card is played to a descending pile, it must be smaller than the previous card. These rules must be followed unless a player can complete The Backwards Trick.

On a player’s turn, they must play at least two or more cards to the discard piles. A player may even play their entire hand if they can. The player is not limited to a single discard pile on their turn. They may play as many cards as they can to as many discard piles as needed as long as they follow the rules for building the piles. If a player is unable to play at least 2 cards, the game ends.

THE BACKWARDS TRICK

The Backwards Trick is a way for players to “reset” the pile to allow for more cards to be played.

On the 1 piles, if a player is able to play a card that is exactly 10 less than the previous card, they may do so. For example, if the top card of the discard pile is a 16, the player may play their 6 in order to perform The Backwards Trick.

On the 100 piles, if a player is able to play a card that is exactly 10 more than the previous card, they may do so. For example, if the top card of the discard is a 87, they can play the 97 in order to perform The Backwards Trick.

THE DRAW PILE RUNS OUT

Once the draw pile runs out of cards, the game continues 메이저놀이터 players drawing any cards. Play continues until the game is won, or there are no longer any plays to be made.

ENDING THE GAME
When a player is no longer able to play at least 2 cards from their hand, the game is over. If a player runs out of cards in their hand, and the draw pile is empty, the other remaining players continue until the game is won or one of the players with cards remaining is no longer able to play.

SCORING
Ending the game with 10 or fewer cards left in people’s hands is considered a good effort.

WINNING
The Game is won if all 98 cards are played to the discard piles.
