Your first bikini wax can be a nerve-wracking experience. With this step-by-step guide, you will find it is easier than you think, and the long-lasting results will make you feel like you are ready to take on the world or at least the beach!

Bikini waxing refers to cleaning up the hair around your bikini line but don’t get confused with a Brazilian wax, which involves removing a lot more hair. We don’t recommend beginners try to tackle a Brazilian wax on their first try. It is best to start by trying a bikini wax and work your way up to removing more hair if that is the style you are going for.

BIKINI WAXING TIPS FOR FIRST-TIME USERS

1. The Two-week Rule
   
   

   Patience is a virtue! You really do have to wait for at least two weeks before waxing, especially if you previously shaved that area. The hair should be around ¼ inch or 1 cm. This will give the wax enough hair to grab onto for the best results.

   
   


2. Don’t Wax the Same Area More Than Once
   

   When you wax the same area twice during a single session, this sensitive area can get inflamed and become uncomfortable. Follow the instructions and work in small sections so that you won’t need to go over an area more than once. Try again later that week if you need to go over an area again.

   
   


3. Divide Waxing Area into Small Sections
   

   The best way to approach waxing in the bikini area is by working in small sections, about the size of two postage stamps. By working in smaller areas you are better able to hold the skin taut while zipping the wax off, minimizing pain, skin irritation and ensuring you remove the hair most effectively. 4. Speed and Technique
   

   The best technique for removing hair is to pull back while staying close to the skin in one quick motion. Never pull away from This Website or up and out. USING PARISSA WAX STRIPS THE RIGHT WAY

Before Waxing

Never bathe, clean, or wash the area that you want to wax. If you are a first-timer, it is best you perform a patch test, wait for 24 hours, and check for any reaction.

Waxing Process

Step 1. Warm up the waxing strip by gently rubbing it in between your hands

Step 2. Peel the two strips apart carefully

Step 3. Place one strip over the area you want to wax and press it down firmly in the direction of the hair growth

Step 4. Hold the skin taut and zip off the wax strip quickly in the opposite direction of the hair growth.

After Waxing

If there is any excess wax stuck to your skin, use azulene oil or a kitchen oil and a cloth to easily wash this off. Apply Azulene Oil, which comes in your Parissa Waxing Kit, over the waxed area. This will soothe the skin and reduce redness. You can apply the Azulene oil several times a day, if you like, to reduce inflammation and protect against ingrown hairs.
