If you've planned a trip to Newbridge we’ve build a number of the things nearby that you can see or do if you are here. These include, places to be, tours and attractions, some upcoming events and places where you can grab dinner.

Newbridge is a small tourist village inside the Central West of NSW that welcomes visitors and campers. It can be a great tourist location to visit with good food available at the Gladstone Hotel, visit the Art Gallery (Olde Bridge Gallery) , look at Craft Shop, or camp with the Showground. Take a ramble through the village using its interesting background great scenery to discover. Newbridge is situated about 32 km from Bathurst resulting in 29 km from Trunkey Creek The locality was first referred to as Back Creek or Reedy Creek, but renamed Newbridge on April 15 1878 when an overhead road traffic bridge was built over the railway line.

Newbridge was founded being a gold mining town, the Post Office opening on 1 February 1856. Newbridge village developed throughout the railway line and station which has been built-in 1876. Newbridge can be a popular camping and fishing location with campsites available along the river. A point of pride for your town, the neighborhood have kept your building beautifully maintained, and Newbridge has won many awards for just one of the best presented stations inside state.

One of Australia's oldest and largest regional galleries presenting innovative exhibitions alongside an engaged and varied suite of public programs and events. If you would like to see some of the displays through the Camera Group then visit Ye Olde Gallery with the corner of Trunkey and Caloola Street in Newbridge.

The Newbridge Winter Solstice is often a day of medieval magic and music. It takes place on the street (closed for the occasion) as well as on the Gladstone Green. The entertainment has contains magic shows, Viking fighting displays in the afternoon (from Iron Fest participants), food stalls, Morris Dancers, many market stalls, two bands (one inside afternoon and another for the night), horse display, street entertainment along with other activities for the younger people. There is going to be drink which is available from the Gladstone Hotel (Strong Ale, Draft Guinness and also other merry-making fortifications also!). There will probably be ample food to match everyone (vegetarians included) from food stalls as well as the Pub. Most people will be dressed in Medieval Costume to enhance the merriment.

Our site of the morning festivities will probably be the lighting and burning of the Wickerman on the large bonfire at 5pm. People are encouraged to buy small Wickermen earlier, write their problems on the tag and later on throw them around the fire to own them burnt away!
