New

The Afrobeats movement is making an appearance in the New world of music but, because of the massive cultural re-enculturation of Nigeria's youth that it is hard to identify the exact date it started and where it's heading. However, there are certain features that have become associated with the genre, and the new generation of musicians that came out of it. Here are some examples of the music that has had an impact on popular culture. What are the most well-known artists and songs from the genre?

Afrobeats music integrates elements of jazz music, funk, highlife reggae plus traditional African rhythms. Afrobeats has often featured inflammatory political messages. Young African musicians from diasporas are mixing best African sounds together with reggae hip-hop and house. The result is a genre that's not just for the continent, but has gained acceptance by an increasing number of listeners throughout the U.S.

Afrobeats styles started in the mid-2000s and the late 1990s. The debut of MTV Base Africa in 2005 brought artistes from West Africa a worldwide audience. Artists like MI Abaga and Fuse ODG profited from this increased exposure. In the early days, many African-American artists were playing R&B and hip-hop, but the early pioneers of the genre like Fuse ODG, were creating their own original sounds that combined modern western influences with traditional melodies. This was, unfortunately, held back by the language barrier but the rising success of the genre meant that musicians are trying to make it their own.

In 2014 the song Say Yes by Michelle Williams was released. The track is based on the Nigerian hymn "When Jesus Says "Yes". The beats in the song are based on the 3-2 and 2-3 beats of Afrobeats. It's not surprising that the track is now a global chart-topper, reaching five for the UK singles chart. One of most significant positives of this genre is the collaboration between two well-known Afrobeats artists, Olamide And his lady Bukunmi Adedeji.

Another way in which Afrobeats has gained global recognition is with the advent of charts. Afro Nation is launching a chart in the UK to showcase the music of UK-based artists. Afrobeats, in essence, is a fusion of R&B dancehall, R&B, as well as West African pop culture. The songs of Afrobeats tend to be positive and joyful melodies.

The Afrobeats trend started to spread across the music industry when Drake introduced it to the world through his single "One Dance." After the song had over one billion stream on Spotify, it became the most popular track ever on the music streaming service. This allows Afrobeats to be more accessible to mainstream audiences. It has also gained international recognition, as musicians from all over the world are working together on music. However, this trend is only just beginning to become mainstream, and Drake hasn't been the sole artist to defy the trend.

Afrobeats is the name of a genre in music that blends African sounds with Black American influences. The result is an extraordinary amazing blend of two cultures. This music genre was initially created by Nigerian musician Fela Kuti and his group, Africa 70. The Africa 70 group created the genre that combined West African rhythms, predominantly Ghanaian and Nigerian, with R'n'B vocal arrangements.
