Clayton “CaptainFlowers” Raines stated on Twitter via a Twitlonger that he will not be attending Worlds 2021. CaptainFlowers made it clear that this was a personal decision and that he intended to particpate in the Worlds 2021 broadcast at first. Instead, this decision came in light of mental and physical health issues. In his statement, CaptainFlowers stated he had suffered from declining motivation and health 메이저놀이터
since the start of the pandemic.

CaptainFlowers did state that he still would participate in Worlds 2021. He will do so by restreaming Worlds games on his own, personal stream during NA friendly hours. CaptainFlowers made it clear that this would not be associated with Riot Games and would be an individual project. During the long offseason, CaptainFlowers also stated he plans on returning to regular streams and content creation.

Also in his statement, CaptainFlowers spoke on the dedication it took to be apart of the Worlds broadcast and the toll it takes on players, production, and on-air talent. The month long production requires intensive hours and regular schedule changes whether the event is held remotely or not.

CaptainFlowers’ announcement and Twitlonger has inspired discussion around burnout and personal-time in the esports industry. Plenty of other casters and esports personalities have shared their stories specifically around Worlds and the workload that accompanies it. As far as we know, CaptainFlowers intends to return to casting for the LCS at the start of 2022 regular season.
